Don't prune stone fruit

Fan-trained stone fruit like peaches, apricots, nectarines and plums should be pruned in late spring or early summer - leave it until next year if you haven't pruned yet, or you risk allowing fungal diseases like silverleaf to enter the pruning cuts.
