Lavender is starting to look messy so now you can cut back old flower heads of lavender: not too hard – avoid cutting into old wood – but taking off all the flower stems and some of last year's extension growth. Lavender flowers can be used in many ways: the essential oils have antiseptic, anti-inflammatory properties.
