This mat-forming Australian shrub is grown here as a tender perennial for summer baskets and containers where it is relatively drought-tolerant and gives a really striking display with its zig-zag fans of lilac-blue flowers; best of all, while Petunias and their relatives are devoured by slugs and snails, these plants seem immune.
