Codonopsis clematidea

Codonopsis clematidea

This unusual perennial is not very easy to find,  but it is hardy, easy to grow, though sometimes devoured by slugs. It will scramble to about 60cm, or sprawl on a rockery. The delicate pale blue bell flowers have unexpected maroon markings inside - and a strong rather foxy odour.
