Sambucus nigra f. porphyrophylla 'Eva'

The flowers of the elder cultivar 'Eva' (usually sold as BLACK LACE) are delicate pink, contrasting strongly with the rich purple foliage ; fragrant elderflowers are traditionally cooked with gooseberries, as they flower when these begin to ripen, or you can make a sparkling 'champagne' out of them.
