Try outdoor tomatoes in a sheltered spot

Vine tomatoes (indeterminate cultivars like 'Alicante', 'Gardener's Delight' and so on) need some support and plenty of warmth, so the sheltered south-facing end of a greenhouse should be a perfect position. Tomatoes and peppers will need high potassium plant food to produce a good crop, so if the compost is recycled from growing potatoes in bags, you will be adding fertiliser/anyway and can easily deal with depleted nutrients.
