Papaver cambricum

The Welsh poppy (formerly Meconopsis cambrica) is a useful perennial which seeds itself freely around the garden; the single papery lemon-yellow or orange flowers are held well above light green leaves, and it flourishes in sun or shade, in all cracks and crevices.
