Deal with viburnum beetle
19th June 2021
When you first spot holes in your viburnum leaves you can squash or pick off the larvae (and later the adults) by hand, or you can remove and destroy the infested shoots. You can encourage natural predators like birds and ground beetles into your garden, to help to control them. Alternatively, you can spray the larvae in spring with a short-persistence contact insecticide - but you may need repeated sprays - or with a systemic insecticide .
