Support tall herbaceous plants
Support tall herbaceous plants
15th June 2021
String and canes will do a good job of supporting tall stems of delphiniums or similar clumps of tall-stemmed border plants - a simple framework is fine for emergencies (strong winds) but the best and least noticeable way way is place a couple of stout canes at the back of a clump, and loop string between stems and canes individually, so that each stem can flex and move separately and the support is less visible.
