Cotoneaster horizontalis

The herringbone or fishbone cotoneaster is one of the most useful and wildlife-friendly plants for the garden. As a wall shrub it gives you spring flowers, autumn colour and red berries in winter - and the bees adore the blossoms in late spring, while birds devour the berries. At thi time of year, it can be humming loudly with bees even when the individual flowers are barely open.
