Spiraea japonica 'Goldflame'

This is an 'acquired taste' plant, grown more for its colourful peachy-orange young foliage than the clashing pink flowers which it produces when the foliage ages to dull greenish-yellow later in summer. Cut it back hard as flowering starts and in a few weeks you will have a new flush of bright foliage.
