Symphytum x uplandicum 'Bocking 14'
This is the form of comfrey recommended for organic gardeners - is a sterile hybrid, which cannot self seed and is non-invasive, so it can be used for comfrey liquid feed and as a compost accelerator without taking over the garden. The nodding flowers are purple-blue from spring through to summer, and are very attractive to bees.
