Prune winter flowering shrubs like Lonicera fragrantissima (winter honeysuckle) and Viburnum x bodantense ‘Dawn’ once the flowers are over; take out some old stems entirely to allow space for new shoots to grow up and flower. You can do the same with Ribes sanguineum and Forsythia as soon as they finish flowering this month.
