Keep tender perennials protected

If you bought plugs plants for your summer displays and potted them up under cover, they will need to be protected for another month - particularly while frost is forecast; as soon as the roots show through the bottom of the pots, pot them on to get even better plants, and move them out to a cold frame if possible to start hardening off gradually.
