Audreia secunda

Audreia secunda

This interesting hybrid of Dionaea muscipula and Pinguicula vulgaris was first observed in a florist's shop in New York in 1960. Thought to be extinct for some years, it reappeared off Broadway in 1982 and another seedling was discovered in Hollywood in 1986. Like most carnivorous plants it requires very special growing conditions to flourish.
