Abeliophyllum distichum

White Forsythia' sounds a really great shrub to train on a sheltered sunny wall, with fragrant pinkish-white flowers on bare stems in February. The downside is that if it shares this choice spot with any other plants, for example a rambler rose, it is easily overwhelmed and hardly flowers.
