On St David's Day, this is the wild daffodil or Lent Lily, the one which inspired Wordsworth's 'host of golden daffodils'.It is much shorter and more delicate than modern cultivars like 'King Alfred'. Daffodils are divided into 13 divisions, 12 according to flower shape and the final one for all wild and species forms like this.
