Iris reticulata ' Dijt''

Iris reticulata 'J.S. de Dijt'

These dainty iris are some of the earliest to come into flower in the spring, growing from bulbs which are fed by the strappy leaves which follow after flowering. The problem with this cultivar is that even with a pale background like gravel, these really dark petals don't catch the eye.
