You may not be able to go out much this January, but why not cheer yourself up with planning some new planting? Next year, when you may be defrosting your car on winter mornings, you could be enjoying scent and colour from winter shrubs like winter honeysuckle, sarcococca or a witchhazel underplanted with bulbs and hellebores.
