Look after your azalea
31st December 2020
Indoor azaleas are very prone to leaf drop - raising the humidity by standing the plant on a tray of pebbles will help to avoid this; once the compost dries right out the plant is DEAD. If you can keep it alive until mid-April, repot it in the spring in ericaceous compost and give it a liquid feed at weekly intervals. Azaleas can spend the summer outdoors in a cool, shady site, but they need to be kept constantly moist, and brought indoors again before frosts.
