Look after your Clivia
30th December 2020
When the flowers have faded, remove the flower stems near the base and water sparingly, applying a balanced fertiliser weekly. You can stand the plant outside for the summer but Clivias are not at all frost-hardy so bring it indoors againin September. To initiate flowering, the plant needs a minimum of one month at a cool 10°C, then move it to a well-lit position with a temperature of 16°C . Clivias flower better when pot-bound so don't be in too much of a hurry to re-pot.
