Recognise sooty mould
19th December 2020
Sooty mould is a fungal disease which can build up on the leaves of evergreens like citrus, bay and camellia whether they are indoors or outside. It can be wiped off, but it's a sign that the plant has been attacked by - or is still harbouring - sap sucking insects like aphids or citrus scale, so you'll need to deal with this problem too.
