Thuja plicata 'Atrovirens'

Western Red Cedar is a fast growing evergreen conifer which makes an excellent substitute for Leylandii hedging. The glossy foliage is green above, slightly grey beneath, and smells of artificial pineapple. It tolerates hard clipping much better than most conifer hedges.  'Atrovirens' emphasises the 'very dark green' of this particular cultivar.
