Phygelius x rectus 'African Queen'

'African Queen' is one of the most vigorous cultivars of Phygelius; these suckering shrubs  are often cut back hard as herbaceous perennials in colder areas, but in mild winters the framework persists and the shrub can reach over 2m, with  tubular pale red flowers which have yellow throats.
