Persicaria microcephala 'Red Dragon'

This decorative knotweed has lance-shaped, purple-green leaves with striking markings, usually a silver band around a central splash of purple. It is herbaceous and easily damaged by late spring frosts, but quickly revives and gives months of colour in the border.
