Sometimes the weather just won't let you dig

Last week our soil plots at Bampton were in a really nice state after they'd been cleared of the previous term's vegetables: weeded, levelled and ready for double digging, then sowing a crop of broad beans. This week digging will have to wait - sometimes you just have to accept what nature throws at you!
