Harvest sweetcorn

Once the ears of sweetcorn have filled out, don't delay, pick and eat (or freeze) them rapidly. Freshest corn is sweetest, before sugars convert to starches, but also the longer the corn is standing there ripe, the more likely it is to be eaten by squirrels, rats, badgers...
