Hibiscus syriacus 'Oiseau Bleu'

This is generally found in garden centres under the translation if its name, 'Blue Bird'; the large single flowers are strong violet-blue with a maroon centre. Hibiscus flower on this season's growth, so they can be hard-pruned like roses to produce lots of new buds.
