Polygala x dalmaisiana

This is a bushy evergreen shrub, with greyish-green paired leaves and fringed purple-red flowers in late summer. It can grow to 1.5m, but it is tender and needs to be given winter protection. The genus Polygala is known to be very susceptible to Xylella in Europe.
