X Chitalpa tashkentiensis
This is an unusual intergeneric hybrid between Catalpa and Chilopsis, both from the same family Bignoniaceae. It is a deciduous hardy shrub or small round-headed tree with long green leaves, then a profusion of pink flowers in summer, marked inside with nectar guides. It needs shelter and some sun, and free-draining soil.
