Clematis viticella 'Avante Garde'

Not many viticella clematis have double flowers - though plant-breeders are busy producing new cultivars, some of which are more interesting than attractive. However the semi-double 'Avante-Garde' has very pretty pinkish-red flowers, with full petals and a frilled centre.
