The Indian Bean tree produces its panicles of white flowers in July and August, looking from a distance like an unseasonal horsechestnut. Each individual flower has purple and yellow nectar guides on its petals to guide pollinating insects inside the flower, where the curved anthers brush pollen onto their backs.
