Campanula carpatica

Campanula carpatica

This is one of the rockery bellflowers, a robust scrambler which is slightly later to bloom than most alpines and so useful in extending the season of interest. A sunny site is best - if it is in shade you will get a lot of foliage and little flowering. C. carpatica has two seed-raised cultivars, 'Blue Clips' and 'White Clips'.
