Hebe ochracea 'James Stirling'

The Whipcord Hebe looks more like a dwarf conifer than a hebe when it is young, with the wiry stems densely packed with bronze scale-like leaves: as it gets older and growth becomes more open the leaves are more green than gold, and unexpected white flowers appear at shoot tips.
