Clean up pampas grass

Cleaning up pampas grass requires a different technique - a rake will not clear out the old leaves adequately, and you need to break off the old grass flowerheads, so you need overalls or a tough jacket to cover your arms and very strong gloves to pull out the viciously saw-toothed grass blades. As you have to reach well into the clump to do this, glasses or goggles ( or even a ski-mask to cover your face) will help to protect you from scratches.
