Lonicera tatarica 'Hack's Red'

This is a shrubby deciduous honeysuckle, a multistemmed large shrub which is completely hardy and in mid-spring gives you a show of small red flowers. The flowers are rather tubular and not obviously similar to climbing honeysuckles, and unfortunately lack scent, but it makes a handsome small garden tree in the spring.
