Plant potatoes

Easter weekend is traditionally a time for planting potatoes, whether you use ridge-and-furrow or plant them at 'stations' in a row to be earthed up later. To station sow, make a hole for each seed potato with a trowel or dibber. It needs to be as deep as the trowel - remember that the new potatoes form on the stem above the seed potato, so the deeper the better.
