Chionodoxa forbesii 'Pink Giant'

Scilla forbesii /Chionodoxa forbesii  'Pink Giant'

'Pink Giant' is twice the size of the blue species - it has pink, star-shaped blooms with a paler centre, and broader strap-like leaves; it will clump up and spread as effectively as the species, but because of its larger leaves it might be more suited to the front of a border than naturalising in gravel because they can look very messy as it dies back. In a border, the leaves will be masked by the new growth in your herbaceous plants.
