If you don't already have spring bulbs like snowdrops and winter aconites in your garden to divide, they establish better 'in the green' after flowering than as dry bulbs from a packet. You can buy them now online or from small ads in the back of gardening magazines. When they arrive as a bundle of bulbs with wilting foliage, split them up - even plant them singly - and they will soon clump up.
