Narcissus bulbocodium
Another species daffodil is Narcissus bulbocodium: the central trumpet is large and flared, much wider than any other daffodil, with the perianth segments very reduced to narrow points. It can be naturalised in grass and does well in neutral to acid soils - because it likes fairly dry conditions during the summer it can be planted beneath deciduous trees.
