Narcissus cyclamineus

7th March 2020

Narcissus cyclamineus (Birmingham Botanic Gardens)

 Narcissus cyclamineus

The swept back (reflexed) perianth petals of this species daffodil resemble the cyclamen it is named for, if you can imagine a cyclamen ever being vibrant golden yellow. This is a tiny daffodil only about 15cm high, which needs to be grown in a container or alpine trough to appreciate its delicate beauty.
