Pulmonaria officinalis or Common Lungwort is a semi-evergreen perennial with spotted hairy leaves; it was used traditionally to treat lung disease because of the Doctrine of Signatures, where similarity of a plant leaf to an organ of the body was an obvious sign that it would be helpful.
