Short Course (North Moreton) Tree Assessment

An introduction to measuring tree height and canopy, assessing age and general health and an outline of TPO legislation. The one-day course is designed for anyone who may be asked by clients to give basic tree advice; it includes some practical assessment of garden trees and outlines situations that may then lead to calling in a specialist arborist or contacting a tree officer.

The course will include:

Measuring trees from the ground

Tree health

Tree legislation  - TPOs and conservation areas

Crown lifting/thinning and major renovation work - specialist pruning for professionals

Dates and times - This is a ONE day programme. To check when this course is running please look on the website for dates. This course runs from 09.30 to 15.30.

What qualification will I get? On completion of the programme you will be given a course completion certificate from the Academy of Practical  Horticulture.

Complete an enrolment form on line, ensure you provide ALL of the details requested.  3. Payment options are: payment through the website using a credit/debit card or PayPal, alternatively cash or cheque on the first day of the course.

Cost: £95.00 plus V.A.T. at £19.00 for the complete course, total payable £114.00.

What else do I need to know? This is mixture of theory and practical work,  therefore you need to wear comfortable casual  clothing and for inclement weather some waterproofs would be ideal! Safety footwear is mandatory for all practical  activities.

What can I do after this course? You would be welcome to attend any of the short course or masterclasses that we offer, or perhaps (if not already studying one of them) one of the Royal Horticultural Society Courses at one of our centres.
