Certificate in Garden Planning, Construction and Planting
RHS Level 3: Theory Course

Course content:
- Garden survey techniques and design principles
- Selection and use of landscaping elements in the garden
- Setting out and construction of landscaping elements in the garden
- A range of specialist elements in the establishment of garden and urban plantings
Duration: Each course runs for 28 weeks from 17.00 to 20.00 pm.
How each course is taught and assessed:
You will study 4 units.
The course is classroom based; teaching consists of lectures, practical demonstrations and plant identification sessions. Each unit is assessed by a short written examination set by the RHS in February and June each year.
There is no compulsory course work, but you will be given the opportunity to try sample examination questions if you are going take the examination.
Achievement: When you have passed all of the assessments, we will apply to the RHS for your L3 Certificate in Garden Planning, Construction and Planting.
Note: If you have opted not to undertake the examinations for either course but work through all the exercises and practice questions we will issue a certificate of attendance.
